דגלי תפילה טיבטיים הם, בבודהיזם טיבטי, דגלי בד מרובעים וצבעוניים, הנתלים בין פסגות הרים בהרי ההימלאיה על מנת לברך את הארץ.
לדגלי התפילה שני סגנונות עיקריים: דגלי ה"לונגטה" (Lung-ta) האופקיים ודגלי ה"דארצ'ור" (Darchor) האנכיים. הדגלים האופקיים מחוברים בחוט ארוך ונתלים בין פסגות הרים.
תפקידם של הדגלים הוא לרומם את תפילות ומנטרות המאמינים אל האלוהות ולהביא ברכה אל העולם. הברכות המובאות על ידי הדגלים מושפעות מנסיבות תלייתם; על פי המסורת, הזמן הטוב ביותר לתלות דגלי תפילה הוא בשעות הבוקר, ביום שטוף-שמש ורוח.
לכן, כשחשבתי מהי הדרך המתאימה ללמד אתכם לסרוג מלבנים בשיטת פינה לפינה, ולאור מגפת הקורונה שתפסה אותנו באמצע החיים, מצאתי שהדרך המתאימה ביותר היא סריגת דגלים מלבניים בהשראת דגלי התפילה הטיבטיים.
A Tibetan prayer flag is a colorful rectangular cloth, often found strung along trails and peaks high in the Himalayas. They are used to bless the surrounding countryside.
There are two kinds of prayer flags: horizontal ones, called Lung ta (Wylie: rlung-rta, meaning "Wind Horse") in Tibetan, and vertical ones, called Darchog (Wylie: dar-lcog, meaning "flagstaff").
Lung ta (horizontal) prayer flags are of square or rectangular shape, and are connected along their top edges to a long string or thread. They are commonly hung on a diagonal line from high to low between two objects in high places such as the tops of temples, monasteries, stupas, and mountain passes.
Traditionally, prayer flags are used to promote peace, compassion, strength, and wisdom. The Tibetans believe the prayers and mantras will be blown by the wind to spread the good will and compassion into all pervading space. Therefore, prayer flags are thought to bring benefit to all.
So, thinking of the right way to teach you to crochet rectangular corner-to-corner, and in light of the COVID-19 epidemic that caught us in mid-life, I found that the most appropriate way is to crochet rectangular flags inspired by Tibetan prayer flags.

מה תצטרכו לדעת?
ללסרוג יחד הזה אתם צריכים להכיר את תכי הבסיס בסריגת הקרושה – מסרגה אחת: עין שרשרת, עין שטוחה, חצי עמוד, עמוד מקוצר ועמוד.
חומרים נדרשים:
מסרגת קרושה 3 מ"מ
5 חבילות של חוט כותנה 100% – לוקסור
כל חבילה 50 גרם, 125 מטר
בצבעים: כחול, לבן, אדום, ירוק, צהוב
כל דגל שוקל כ- 10 גרם ולכן יהיו לכם לפחות 5 דגלים מכל חבילה.
בניתי עבורכם 2 ערכות:
ערכה 1 – כחול 105-28, לבן 105-01, אדום 105-27, ירוק 105-17, צהוב 105-30
ערכה 2 – כחול 105-11, לבן 105-01, אדום 105-27, ירוק 105-16, צהוב 105-03
ניתן לרכוש את הערכות אצלי בחנות
אך כמובן תוכלו להשתמש בכל חוט וצבע שזמינים אצלכם עם מסרגה מתאימה.

What do you need to know?
For this CAL you need to know these basic crochet stitches:
Chain, Slip Stitch, Single Crochet, Half Double Crochet, Double Crochet.
Materials:
I used 3mm hook and
5 Fibra Natura LUXOR 100% Cotton, each 50g, 125m in: Blue, White, Red, Green and Yellow colors .
Each flag is about 10g.
OR any other yarn with a suifable hook.
